Assistant-Teacher and Floater-Teacher positions available

Global Village Montessori is a new-age Montessori preschool that provides high-quality education for children 2 - 6 years of age. We take the best practices from American Montessori Society (AMS) Montessori method and combine with our unique curriculum to provide a balanced and fun environment to the children.

Assistant Teacher


Responsibilities for a assistant teacher include:

  • Assist head teacher in maintaining Montessori classroom culture, management of children of children, potty training, general supervision and help with snack and nap time

  • Update and implement curriculum over time as student needs dictate

  • Plan, prepare, and maintain all units of study, lessons, and 'works' (mini-tasks and provide guidance to children)


Requirements for this position are:

  • 12 ECE units and at least 1 years experience working 2-5 year old children in a child development setting

  • CPR & First aid skills is a plus

  • Must have fingerprinting, health screening and TB test results

  • Must be able to provide references


Floater & Substitute Teacher


Responsibilities for floater teacher include:

  • Assist the classroom teachers in the general supervision, help with snack and nap time and management of a classroom of children

  • Provide assistance to the Director as needed

  • Working hours are 9.30am - 4.30 am for now and should be open to full time as need arises


Requirements for this position are:

  • 12 ECE (early childhood education) units or 6 ECE units and enrolled in early childhood classes

  • Must have fingerprinting, health screening and TB test results

  • Must be able to provide references
