Distance Learning Program

This is geared towards children who want to experience Montessori from home.

We are offering the following
3 learning options.

In-class:

Our In-class option is open for all students Mon - Fri from 8 am - 5 pm. We have lower student-teacher ratios, social distancing, temperature checks and procedures that the staff follow from GVM’s COVID-19 Procedures and Guidelines. We have In-class sessions currently at our Milpitas-North-Jacklin and Pleasanton-Hopyard locations. Please visit each of the location pages to get more information about In-class sessions.

Distance Learning:

Our Distance Learning option will include live classroom sessions and an interactive small group Zoom session. The live In-class sessions will include circle time, story time and creative sessions. Recorded videos will also be made available for viewing each day. In addition, we will have worksheets and other materials that can be picked up from one of our locations or made available on Google Classroom to be printed at home. We will have other extensive online educational material made available via Google Classroom. GVM’s Distance Learning is priced at $125 per week. If you would like to enroll your child in Distance Learning or make changes to enrollment, please complete this form. You can request for a free trial session.

Hybrid option (In-class and Distance learning combo)

You can enroll your child in a Hybrid option, which is a combined In-class and Distance Learning option to take advantage of both. Pricing for Distance Learning will be prorated when combined with an In-class option. Please note that we need a minimum of 2 weeks notice to make changes to In-person option and depending upon availability we will accommodate your request.

Curriculum:

We have an age-appropriate curriculum for Pre-Kindergarten, Transitional-Kindergarten (TK) and Kindergarten (K) aged children. Our TK and K-aged children are grouped separately for age-appropriate learning.

What does the child do during a typical day while enrolled in Distance Learning?

The day starts with our live morning circle in which calendar, weather, and a large group lesson for the day will be presented, followed by an Interactive zoom session which will allow your child to interact with our teachers and students. During this session, the children will be given one-on-one instruction on their daily lessons on Math, Language, Science, Cultural (Botany, Zoology, Geography), and Art. Our afternoon live session will focus on our creative sessions like yoga, music & movement, nutrition, and public speaking. For our distance learning kids public speaking will be covered on Fridays.
