Highlights from February
Valentine’s Day, Groundhog Day and Presidents Day.
We learned about George Washington and Abraham Lincoln. Our students had fun making George Washington face masks. Valentine’s day gave children an opportunity to learn about the significance of sharing, love and kindness. It was very exciting for children to disocver the myth behind Groundhog Day.
In March, we will develop a love for reading and discover more about Dr. Seuss. Please talk to your child at home about the importance of reading and set a time aside to do reading with your child.
The children will continue learning from our Botany Unit and we will learn about 'Flowers" this month. We will also be celebrating St. Patrick’s Day in class on Friday, March 17th. We will have fun activities and lessons planned on this day and we request all children to wear green on this day.
