Position Overview:
The Preschool Director will oversee the day-to-day operations of the school, ensure compliance with licensing requirements, lead and support staff, foster strong parent relationships, and uphold the integrity of the Montessori method. The ideal candidate is an inspiring leader with a deep understanding of early childhood education and strong organizational and communication skills.

- Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Education Administration, or a related field
- Minimum of 15 ECE units, including infant and toddler units and coursework qualifying for an administrative role (AA or BA in ECE preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a leadership role within a Montessori environment
- 4 years in a licensed preschool facility OR 2 years with an AA in ECE OR 1 year with a BA in ECE
Strong
knowledge of state licensing regulations- Excellent leadership, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Strong computer, written, and verbal communication skills
- Passionate about early childhood education and Montessori philosophy
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain)
- Professional references must be provided
- Oversee all aspects of school operations, including staffing, enrollment, compliance, and curriculum
- Support, mentor, and evaluate teachers and staff to maintain a high standard of excellence
- Cultivate a warm and inclusive school community for students, families, and staff
- Manage licensing, health, and safety compliance per state regulations
- Lead tours for prospective families and support enrollment growth initiatives
- Develop and manage budgets in collaboration with ownership
- Communicate effectively and professionally with parents, staff, and the broader community
- Ensure the Montessori philosophy is implemented authentically across classrooms
